Where do our priorities in Prayer belong

In 1 Timothy 2:1-4, it says that praying for our leaders will lead to a quiet life. It is pleasing to God that we pray for them because His desire is that everyone is saved. 

“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” 

We believe that it is important to pray for policies because we want righteous laws that positively effect the freedoms of all the people. We must continue to pray for this and advocate by calling or writing our members to voice our concerns.

However as these leaders carry a lot of responsibility and need strength and wisdom every day, it is vitally important that we lift them up in prayer regularly. We pray salvation for those that don't know Him and for the renewing of their minds to have Godly Wisdom.

When the life of Christ is released deep inside of them, and His love becomes the very source and root of their lives and when they are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God, their very thinking will change. This is why we must pray for all of our Members of Parliament.
