The verse that continually came to my mind was Psalm 119:37 "Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word" God is looking for those who would look to Him.  They will not be seduced by the worthless things of the world.  He is searching for those who will say, "I do" to Him and "No" to the world.
